Since its inception, the CHSE Odisha has a library of its own and has become an indispensable part of it. The library assists in the achievement of the works relating to Examination, dministrative and Academic activities of the Council. The basic aim and objective of the Council library is to provide general information and ready reference services through preserrved reference materials i.e. books, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, periodicals, various old records, documents and newspapers as and when required by the council authorities employees, paper-setters as well as moderators. Library also gives inspiration for creative use of the leisure hours of the officers and employees of the council.Initially council library had a few numbers of book collections but over the years numbers of book collections have been increased considerably, as library is a growing organism. Now the library has a total collection of 9374 nos. of books, out of which 2689 nos. are references books in various aspects and the rests are recommended and reference text books in different subjects of +2 Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational Streams, besides there are 512 nos. of Journals, Magazines, News - letters, Annual Reports, Vocation based curriculums in different subjects as prepared by NCERT, COBSE reports of some other state +2 boards also are available in the library. During the year 2013-14, Council Library has received 216 nos. of +2 text books and glossaries in Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational stream, as specimen copies from Orissa State Bureau of text book preparation and production, Bhubaneswar. The CHSE library now subscribes 9 (Nine) nos. of Oriya and English dailies i.e. Samaja, Sambada, Samaya, Prajatantra, Pragativadi, Dharitri, Anupam Bharat, The New Indian Express, The Times of India and 1 no. of weekly. i.e. Employment News. Library
also subscribes 2 nos. of weekly and 2 nos. of monthly magazines in English & Odia. Approximately 700 nos. of Newspaper clippings, relating to +2 Council matters have been collected throughout the year and brought to the notice of the Councils authorities for taking necessary action.
